Call for Treasurer - Board of Directors Opening

Are you passionate about public administration and looking to take on a leadership role that helps foster connection and learning among public servants, students, and academics in Southern Vancouver Island?

IPAC-Victoria is seeking a new Treasurer to join our Board of Directors. This is a great opportunity to contribute your skills to a dynamic and committed volunteer board while helping shape the direction of our programming and organizational sustainability.

As Treasurer, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial health of the organization. Responsibilities include:

• Receiving and banking funds from members and other sources

• Keeping accounting records of IPAC-Victoria’s financial transactions

• Preparing the Society’s financial statements

• Ensuring the Society meets its tax filing requirements

You’ll also participate in regular board meetings and have the opportunity to contribute to broader board activities where interested, such as event planning, community outreach, and strategic discussions.

We’re looking for someone who brings financial experience, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit. Prior board or nonprofit financial experience is an asset, but not a requirement.
