Policy and a Pint

Join us for an informal, non-partisan evening of conversation, connection, and community-building over a pint. This event is open to public servants, students, and anyone interested in public policy.

We’re excited to welcome George Abbott, former BC cabinet minister and author of Unceded: Understanding British Columbia’s Colonial Past and Why It Matters Now, who will share reflections on how confronting British Columbia’s colonial history is essential to advancing reconciliation with Indigenous peoples today. Books will also be available for purchase at the event.

The evening will include:

  • A 15–20 minute talk

  • Informal networking and social time

Come meet fellow public servants, connect with the IPAC-Victoria Board, share your ideas for future events, and be part of a growing community of policy-minded professionals in Victoria.

Entry to the event is free — pints not included.
Please RSVP below.

📍 Location: Swans Pub
📅 Date: Wednesday, December 10, 2025
